MAKING OF presentation : an encounter with the creators of the Edgar Allan Poe film adaptations by Studio 352 & Melusine Productions – production, challenges and artistic choices.
« The Fall of the House of Usher » and « The Tell-Tale Heart » are part of « Extraordinary Tales », an animated feature film anthology based on five Edgar Allan Poe stories. The workshop will be an opportunity to introduce the specific technical challenges of each short film, detailing artistic and narrative choices for the images used in the movies.
Each short film is made in a particular graphic design style, combining 2D and 3D animation with 3D backgrounds, carefully chosen to suit the individual segments and match Poe's visual universe as well as the psychological depth and complexity of his work.
